Specific Need

Strataca: Underground Salt Museum

Our goal for this year is to raise $252,000, enabling us to introduce a new interactive exhibit named the "Boom Room". This exhibit will provide guests with the opportunity to feel the sound and impact of a real dynamite blast. Additionally, the funds will support the expansion of our scouting program and the creation of an educational summer program for the youth in Reno County.

Profile

We are excited to reach out to you on behalf of Strataca – The Underground Salt Museum. We are a non-profit organization committed to educating individuals through a unique and immersive museum experience 650 feet underground. Our museum has been recognized as one of the Eight Wonders of Kansas,  was named TripAdvisor's Top 10% of attractions worldwide for 2023, and because of our worldwide recognition the impact that we have on the Reno County Community is truly remarkable. A staggering 80% of our visitors come from outside the state, which not only contributes to a $2 million economic boost for Reno County, but also creates a ripple effect that benefits local businesses and residents. Our upcoming interactive exhibit is poised to elevate this impact even further, with projections indicating an additional $442,000 that will be injected into the community. 

Our commitment goes beyond economic prosperity; we are dedicated to providing educational opportunities for future generations. Through innovative programs and exhibits, we aim to inspire and inform individuals of all ages.
