Specific Need
Prior to the Covid-19 crisis, Radio Kansas was planning a campaign to capture an additional $40,000 in listener dollars. This campaign was in response to increased fees from NPR. Without the additional dollars, it is likely that Radio Kansas will either have to end our affiliation with NPR, or remove classical music from its programming schedule.
Mission
The mission of Radio Kansas is:
-To provide a professional, full-time public radio service to central Kansas.
-To provide programming not available from other sources, that fulfills a demonstrated need.
-To provide cultural leadership in terms of both broadcast and non-broadcast media.
-To serve as a resource to the whole of Hutchinson Community College.
