Specific Need

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson the 5% annual disbursement from our endowment supplements our budget. Our goal is for the endowment to grow large enough so that each year it makes up 25% of our budget. It would be a reliable funding source so that in times of disaster or economic downturn our Club would still be strong at a time when our community needs us most.

Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Profile

Boys & Girls Clubs fill the gap between school and home. We provide welcoming, positive environments in which kids and teens have fun, participate in life-changing programs, and build supportive relationships with peers and caring adults.

In 2023 we served 1,348 youth: 698 registered members and 1,017 were served through community outreach. 71% of members qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. 34% of members live in single-parent homes.

Programming is focused on four major areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, and Workforce Readiness.
